California - Day 8

With Sea World being one of the top days in California, this day was hands down my favorite.
We kicked off the day with a tour of The Warner Brothers Studio.
It was a half guided/unguided.
It was so very cool!

One of the first places they took us was The Ellen Show stage.

The lights and cameras hanging from the studio ceiling were crazy!!
We weren't allowed on the actual stage but we were able to take photos.
We also weren't allowed to take photos of behind the stage because of the upcoming season.

We went thought many of hallways where they all kinds of memorabilia displayed.

JR Ewing's hat and boots from Dallas

Michelle's Honeybee Costume from Full House.

The armor wings from Wonder Woman

We were able to pose with an actual award!

They had actual gowns worn to the awards shows through the years.
They were so pretty!
I believe this was Lauren Bacall.

Joan Crawford.

We then hopped on a tram and drove through USA.
They have so many city streets set up to accommodate filming locations.
One street was Chicago and then you would turn a corner and you were in New York.
My all time favorite was Small Town.
Because...

Luke's Cafe from Gilmore Girls

The gazebo in the square from Gilmore Girls.

Hannah's house from Pretty Little Liars

Rosewood High School from Pretty Little Liars

The Gellar's House from Friends

It was very cool. They are setting up for a new show that Courteney Cox is starring in. All of the insides of the shops and houses are empty and they just constantly rebuild them to fit their needs for the next show.

Next up was Friends! This was truly why I wanted to come here.
They have a super cool gift shop and it's all laid out as the sets of Friends.

This one is hard to tell.
It's Joey and Chandler's chairs!

I tried to take one of the coffee mugs from the shelves to pretend I was drinking coffee.
They were glued down. Ha!

This was the professional set photo op. The first thing I did was look behind the couch.
No one was there. If you know, you know.

The fountain in the opening credits.

Next up was all of the vehicles from the Batman franchise.
I thought they were super cool! They were HUGE!!!

We wrapped up the tour thought the gift shop. I absolutely loved it!!!
We had more places to visit!
We found ourselves driving through Beverly Hills again so I jumped out for a selfie with the famous sign!

We headed to Griffith Park. Wow. This place was absolutely breathtaking.
It has the most amazing views! Highly recommend this place!! The actual observatory was closed on the day we visited but you can still walk up to the property and enjoy!

After Griffith Park, we were heading to North Los Angeles.
We saw the Capitol Records building from the car!

Next stop was Altadena, California.
This is the Walsh house from Beverly Hills, 90210.

This is Dylan's house from 90210.
Fun fact: They are about 4 houses apart.
So the episode where Brenda ran away to Dylan's. She didn't go very far.

From there we drove to Malibu. We took Malibu Canyon Road. It was so pretty though the mountains.
We had dinner at Paradise Cove. It came highly recommended.
Yesterday I read that Ben Affleck and JLo had dinner there. Hmmm..

This girl enjoyed her big ole' milkshake

While I enjoyed a much deserved Watermelon Daquiri.

My family ordered the Hot Seafood Tower

And the Cold Seafood Tower
They ate all of this food. All of it. Addy pretty much ate all of the calamari.

I had taco's. They were fantastic!

After dinner, we walked on the beach and enjoyed the last little bit of the Pacific.

We took Pacific Coast Highway all the way back to Santa Monica.
Driving along the coast with the sun setting with the gorgeous houses with the Santa Monica pier in our view is a memory I will never forget.
It was such an amazing day!!!
