ROME, BABY!!!

Y'all...we went to Italy. And Greece. And Turkey.

Therefore, these next posts are going to be all the amazing things!

No trip that Sara plans goes without a themed presentation.

We traveled with the Dougherty's (Dorothy's) and had them over for an amazing Italian dinner with a presentation of our trip!

After dinner, these girlies got busy working on the cruise ducks.

I few short days later, travel day arrived!

The van picked us up at the Dorothy's

After SAFELY (due to hydroplaning) arriving at the airport, we checked into our gate and grabbed dinner. Italian food. While it was good, it was nothing compared to what was to come!

We boarded the plane for our 9 hour flight.

Lots of movies, videos, some food, Friends episodes, Twilight, little walks.

We even saw the other Genoa on the plane map!

But we landed. IN ROME!

After an uneventful luggage grab, a miscommunication on the shuttle, we checked into our hotel.
It was definitely a European check in, but we didn't care about anything else.

We were hungry. So...why not McDonalds.
It was the first thing we saw and then found out later it is the most famous McDonalds in the world.
So check that off the list!

I actually do love visiting McDonalds in other countries, just to see how the menu differs.
This one didn't disappoint.
Chicken Parmesan Sandwiches
Sides of Cheese
And these cute little dressing bottles
So yum!

Fresh flowers everywhere

Happy Girls

Filling water bottles from fountains

Many amazing statues!

A bajillion smart cars parked in every little nook and cranny

Tons of luxury stores
Imagine instead of Target, Marshalls, Five Below
replaced with
Gucci, Prada, Dior, Louis Vuitton
Hermes

Golden Goose (while John napped)

Gelato, oh the Gelato!

We finished Day One with our first amazing dinner.
Some of us where still going strong....

Others were not

We ended the night with a Facetime with Nana and our favorite kitty.

Day Two coming up!
