Jamaica, MON!

Have you wondered why I haven't updated my blog? Well, I have a good excuse. 

You see this year I turned, ahem, 40. 

And my friends and I decided to take a girls getaway trip to Jamaica!!!

5 days, no husbands or kids. 

I missed my family like crazy but I came home completely refreshed. I read 4 books! So crazy!!!

The night before I left, this little nugget tried to sneak in my suitcase. 

We had a pretty easy travel day. It was long but we had no delays and all of the flights were pretty smooth!

We spent the next 3 days sleeping in, eating, and laying by the pool or on the beach.

Our last full day in Jamaica, we took a catamaran from Montego Bay to Negril. Once we got to Negril, we were able to snorkel. I faced a few fears on this trip. I jumped off the boat! TWICE!! And snorkeled in open waters. I'm petrified of sharks but I was assured we would be ok. And I had the best time!!!

This is Lorenzo. He worked on the catamaran and kept asking all kinds of questions about winter and snow. He's never been away from Jamaica.

The catamaran dropped us off at Rick's Cafe in Negril for dinner and we took a bus back to Montego Bay. That was a crazy ride!

We were exhausted after this trip and had an early night. It was such a wonderful time! But I was so happy to get back to my girls and John. But...I did make one last purchase in the Montego Bay airport. A new Alex and Ani bracelet!
