A Trip to the Farm!

My friend, "Farmer Sarah", got two new puppies!!

Duke and Diesel are Great Danes and oh, so cute!!! 

Addy always loves the kittens!

Of course. we also had to visit the goats! 

And it was all fun and games until...

The white one with the black face?

That's Jolie. And shes a snobby little selfish goat. 

When I stopped giving her crackers, she head butted me and sent me flying. 

I flew and landed hard. I was a little sore for a few days. But nothing was broken. 

So now, she's Jolie the bad goat. 

 

6th Grade Awards Ceremony

First...look at that dimple. Gah. 

Ava Kate had her first awards ceremony of Middle School. 

She received an Honors Award for being on the High Honor Roll all through 6th grade.

I'm so proud of her and her efforts. I didn't pay attention to one assignment she had all year. 

She managed to keep straight A's in a new school during a pandemic. 

She's pretty much my hero. 

Unfortunately, parent couldn't attend so I had to watch online. 

But it was still fun to see my girl receive her award!

 

Happy Memorial Day!!

John had to work on Memorial Day! 

So we had a cookout on Sunday with the family! 

The pool was open, steaks were cooking and laughs were big!

 

Addy's Market Day Project

 It's Third Grade Market Day! 

The kids were assigned to make a product with something at home. They had a budget of $25 play dollars and had to pay those who helped her. 

After perusing Pinterest "Addy's Colorful Crayons" was created. 

We took old, broken crayons and melted them down into heart shapes. 

While the crayons baked, we worked on Marketing. 

So cute!! 

We enlisted our friend Olivia who does fancy handwriting. 

She made these labels for the product.

Her teacher shared this photo! 

"Addy's Colorful Crayons' was a huge success! 

She sold out AND got a 100%!

Fun Weekend!!

Ava has a social life that keeps me on my toes! 

Lucy's first swim party of the year! 

Mama had a good night at the drive in for the Bon Jovi concert! 

We snagged a quick visit with the besties.

And this one got to me Mama for about 10 mins. She gave up when I complained about being hungry, how many days until Friday and saying "Mom" incessantly. 

We are so looking forward to summer!!! 

 

Happy Birthday Ella!!!

Ella celebrated her 12th birthday with those she loves!!

Mama Heather took them all for a yummy dinner where Ava was able to eat "boujee" Haha! 

Then back to Mama Katie's for lots of fun and a sleepover!!! 

The Great Banana Mystery

I had to share this story because it's too good not to share! 

I picked Emily up one morning to take her to work. She was super frustrated when she got into my car because she lost her bananas. Apparently she had spent most of the morning looking for the bananas. She even accused someone of stealing them from the house. Haha!! Well, she had picked them up the day before at Miller's and one of my aunts had picked her up. So while Em was working her 2nd job, I did some detective work. I called both of my aunts to see if one of them used them for baking or if she left them in the others car. No Bananas. So I headed to pick her up and told her I would take her to Miller's to get new bananas. She talked about it the whole way there. I dropped her off out front and came out with a bag of bananas. The ones she bought the day before. She never took them home from the store. Forgetfulness at her finest!
