Dental Work and The Special Nose

A few months back we found out that Ava has 5 cavaties!! FIVE! Apparently, she doesn't have any enamel on her teeth. The dentist determined that this must have happened either while her birthmom was pregnant with her or shortly after her birth. A high fever is the common cause for this and that is probably happened with Ava.

The original dentist we took her to wanted to put her under General Anesthetic and fix them all at once. I wasn't a big fan of this. I stressed over the decision and talked to many of many other Mama's. I decided to get a second opinion. We found another dentist close and she said that she could repair them with only using laughing gas. It would take 3-4 appointments, but I felt this was the safer route.

Tuesday was her first appointment and she did so great! We definitely made the right choice!! She got to pick out her "special nose" that she got to pick out the scent. She chose strawberry!

She was really nervous all morning and when we pulled in she said "oh, God we're here!" Haha!! She told me that she was going to scream and kick them. Luckily, she didn't do any of that! She cried when we first pulled in and then when they gave her the numbing shot. But that was it! ROCKSTAR!!!

And believe me, the girl didn't miss when Dr. Zoll said "Ice Cream, no foods to chew" How often do you get ice cream at 10am in the morning???
