Ava's Shins

Ava started to struggle with shin splints during Fall soccer. 

They seemed ok during basketball season, but as soon as Spring soccer started, she was in pain again. 

I called a sports medicine Dr. and wow, who knew shin splints could get so bad. 

There are 4 levels of trauma and she was between a 1 & 2 on her right and a 3&4 on the left. 

She was immediately put in a boot and all sports are halted for a minimum of 4 weeks. 

We are grateful we caught this early for her to -hopefully- be healed by Fall. 

 

Happy Mother's Day!!

We spent a beautiful Mothers Day at Maumee Bay for brunch. 

The weather was amazing so we stepped out and took some photos. 

John took this photo while we were driving. 

That AC in my car was pumping! Ha!

Mama's Got a New Car!!

I am so excited!! 

I am the proud new owner of a 2024 Hyundai Palisade. 

It's the most beautiful thing ever. 

Nate's friend helped us with the purchase. 

While we were there, Steve Taylor (if you are from Toledo, you know) was there to film a commercial!

Addy's Friend

So...

It's our first official crush in our house. 

And it's the sweetest thing ever. 

There is a little boy at school who is completely smitten with my sweet Addycakes. 

We aren't allowed to acknowledge it but everything is there. 

It started with the sweet Valentine's gift. 

Then the birthday gift. 

Then the Spring Fling when he wore a shirt the same color as her dress and the rose. The rose. 

But we aren't allowed to talk about it. 

So we will keep admiring from afar. 

 

Patriots Soccer {Spring Soccer}

Ava joined a new travel team this season. 

She played Arsenal in the past and it was amazing, but she had aged out.

Our new Spring team is called the Patriots. It's basically just a league to keep them busy in the Spring and also they only play tournaments. No games, just practices and tournaments. 

It was a wonderful experience!! 

She enjoyed herself so much, she loved the team as did we! 

They won almost every tournament and came in 2nd in the only one they didn't win! 

Such incredible talent on this team.

Addy's Sixth Grade Spring Fling!

Her first official Middle School Dance. 

She was on the fence about going because there was a little mean girl drama the week before. No worries, Mama Bear shut that down quick. 

But her sweet friend Harper invited her to go to her house before for photos and snacks. A quick dress from Amazon and she turned in quite the beauty!

These girls climbed into my car for drop off! 

It was only an hour and half but she had a great time! 

I'm so glad she went!!

 

Ava's Tooth Bonding

I keep telling Ava she is in her Glow Up Era. 

She had the last official procedure done to make that smile even more dazzling! 

She had her cleft tooth bonded and it looks amazing!
