{NYC Day #2}

Day #2 started with a boat ride to the Statue of Liberty.

We decided to cruise down the Hudson with a "sail by" of Lady Liberty. We only had a short time in the city so we wanted to fit in as much as we could.

Have I mentioned it was a little chilly?

So beautiful.

After the boat ride, we ubered to Chelsea Market.

Where my family indulged in lunch that I couldn't watch them eat.

This is what I had!

After Chelsea Market, we activated our Hop On/Hop Off Buss pass.
We had to ride the top!

Oh, how I wish we could have spent some time here.
New York Public Library.
Already planning my trip back.

We enjoyed the sights until we got to our next stop.

Flatiron

Empire State Building

Brooklyn Bridge (adding this to the list next time)

St. Paul's Chapel.
This is where we got off the bus to explore the 911 Memorial

I was so emotional.
This impacts me. I remember this piece of history.
I remember every feeling of that day.

I just about crumbled on the ground when I saw this.

I had talked to the girls beforehand and explained how important that part of the trip was and to give me some grace. They did! They were wonderful.

Back on the bus!

To CHINA TOWN!

We waited and waited to get into this very small, very traditional, cash only restaurant. Where John and I (heads bent) had to ask for forks!
But the food was excellent!

Back to the bus stop, where we learned we had missed the last stop.
$46 taxi ride back to Times Square taught Mama a valuable lesson.

We spent the rest of the evening in Times Square, souvenir shopping.

We finally found where the ball dropped!
We kept looking for it but Times Square is CRAZY!
