2021 SAY Soccer State Tournaments

After much anticipation and preparation, we were finally heading to State!

Tournaments were held in Cincinnati, Ohio. We tried to make a whole weekend out of it, but basketball got in the way. So, we were up early on Saturday and heading South.

First stop was Jungle Jim's. This was a huge hit for everyone in the family.

This girls head almost exploded when she turned a corner and found Slime Lickers.

Daddy spent most of his time in the aisles and aisles of beer, Ava and Makenna stared at the sushi and finally bought some.

I, oh course, was found in the bakery.
We headed to the hotel after and took advantage of the free drinks at the reception.
Shirley Temples!
Vodka in one of them!

We held a team dinner and event the night before the game.
Matching shirts, goody bags, pizza, and lots of desserts.
I will have it known this is the only time we saw the team.
There were many other teams staying at the hotel from around the state so it may have won the World Record for the biggest game of hide and go seek!
It was an amazing bonding experience for everyone!

I tried to say in touch with the girls to make sure they were in bed at a reasonable hour.
They were in and out of rooms and I honestly don't know where they all slept.
I know Ava didn't sleep in our room.
But I did receive super cute photos through out the night!

Early morning knocks woke me up!
I don't know how much sleep they got but...the excitement was off the charts!

The weather was terrible the next day.
Freezing and pouring rain with occasional snow flakes.
But we still smiled because we were at STATE TOURNAMENTS!

I love watching her. Like more than anything. It's my most favorite thing.

Our team didn't pull the win but with the experience and memories, it was a super successful weekend.
The kids were trashed, soaked and still smiling!

After a super yummy lunch at Skyline, we headed home and our girl crashed. As they say, all good things must come to an end.
