Road Trippin' Days 1 and 2 {Corn Palace and Wall Drug}

We decided to take a little different vacation this summer. We hung up the cruise ship and took a road trip out west. We decided to do Mount Rushmore, South Dakota and Colorado Springs, Colorado.
We packed up the car with Nana, JoJo, and Aunt Emily. Uncle Nate was joining us but he decided to fly directly to Colorado.

Day 1 consisted of driving all day. But we did find "The Largest Truckstop in the World" and spent some time there!

We stopped for the night on the Minnesota/South Dakota line.
We woke up the next morning and started out because I had big things planned!
We only had about a 3 hour drive and stopped at Corn Palace in Mitchell, South Dakota.
The entire building, as well as, designs inside are made out of corn kernels.
It was very cool to see and we did a little shopping!

After an hour or so we went to lunch and then headed to our next stop, Wall Drug!
I had been before when I was younger! But my main goal was the donuts! They did not disappoint!

After Wall Drug, we about another hour to our final stop and our home for the next two days!
Glamping!
We had a tent reserved at Under Canvas in Keystone, SD.
We were recommended to attend by a good source so we knew we would love it too!
It did not disappoint. If I'm being honest, I miss that sleeping. Some of the best sleep I've had in years!

The inside of our tent. The girls had little roll away beds.

We had a great couple of days! Next up Mount Rushmore, Bear Country and Custer State Park!
