Halloween 2021

Halloween fell on Sunday so we kicked off the day at church.
Addy's little gift from her Sunday School teacher. So cute!

We spent the evening doing what we have done for all of my Halloween's for my entire life.
We went to Grandma's. We celebrated just the way she would have.

Annual Cousin Photo

The official candy handing outers of 2021.

A girl I went to high school with and her family have made popcorn balls for as long as I can remember. They were always the treats in school and now we go to their house and get them!

As Trick or Treat was wrapping up, this girl didn't want to miss anyone.
So she stayed at the door for an extra 20 mins after.

Halloween Fun with our Sister Friends

The Saturday before Halloween we had some free time with lined up perfectly with our Sister Friends.
Katie, Roz and Patrick were very hospitable with an amazing lunch, goodies for the kiddos.
So much love and friendship. It was a great way to kick off Halloween weekend!

Happy Birthday, Shelby!

Shelby turned 30!!!
We celebrated with a yummy dinner and even yummier cake!

Fleitz Pumpkin Farm

With 2 days to spare, we made it to the pumpkin farm!
We let the girls each bring friends. Most things were closed because of the mud but we still snapped photos and got yummy donuts!

2021 ESSL Champs!!!

I still can't believe this happened!!

Ava Kate and her soccer team are the U14 ESSL Champs!!! Whoop, whoop!!

This has been a long time coming and we honestly didn't know if we would get there. This year was our last chance. Our season hadn't gone so well. We were seeded 5th out of 14 teams. Tournaments came up and we played Lake first.
Lake was the team we played in our first game of the season. We lost 4-0.
We beat them in the tournament game, 3-1.
We made it to the next round.
We were facing Eastwood who we lost to in the regular season, 4-1.
They were seeded 1st.
The game ends with a tie score of 0-0.
TWO OVERTIMES. Still 0-0.
We go to a shootout.
The top 5 shooters from each team.
Ava was first, make the goal.
We went back and forth to the final kickers.
Genoa scored. Eastwood missed.
They missed!!! We won!! We beat the #1 team to go into the championship game.
We were facing Oak Harbor who we lost to 2-1 in regular season.
Right off the bat, we scored 2 goals but them came back to tie. There was 3 minutes in the game and MYA RETHMAN scored!!!!!
We were over the moon! Screams, cheers, crying (hmmm....who???)
Hugs and thank yous and good games and congrats while we received our trophies!!
ESSL U14 Champs!!
Which clinched us a spot for the state tournament.
Be prepared because we are heading to Cincinnati!!!

Happy Gotcha Day, Ava Kate!!

Eleven YEARS!!!
ELEVEN!!
It's been a heck of a ride and I couldn't be more in love or prouder of my girl.
Thank you to the Good Lord for matching us with this perfect person.

With so much going on, we kept is low key and had the grandparents over for hibachi night.

Her gift this year was a ticket to the Pentatonix. Her and I will be attending the concert in December!

Get Air Fun!

I started working with a mentor program through the school.
For about a year, I have been mentoring Jacey and Bryson. They are a super sweet set of twins!
We've really bonded over the last year and they adore Ava and Addy.
We were invited to celebrate their 8th birthday at Get Air!
One full hour of play equals lots of sweat and even more smiles!
