Because John's family is so large, we find it difficult to get together for holidays. So last year we started Gramabration. John's mom, affectionately known as Gram, passed on September 2, 2012 and her birthday was September 8th. We are going to have it around that time each year for a Houghtaling family celebration! We had family in from Florida, Maryland, Michigan, and the Cleveland area. We had amazing weather, amazing food including Gram's recipe for Blackberry Cobbler.
Ava Kate had the idea to send balloons to heaven for Gram with a special note from everyone. It was super sweet!
Another highlight of the day was Baby Gia. She is our new great niece. This sweet little babe is only 1 month old! And I think it's pretty obvious of who she likes better!
The majority of the Houghtaling family. We were missing 2 of John's siblings and a handful of nieces and nephews.
