Slumber Party!

I completely forgot I had these pictures. Last Thursday night, Ava had her first official slumber party. Hannah and a few of her friends spent the night. They spent some time in the hot tub and then Ava planned a little snack for them. She was so excited!!!

I'm sure this is the first of many more to come!!

Salon Girl

As most of you know, I've been having a hard time with Ava's hair. That girl swims so much that the chlorine has basically stripped her hair. I was truly afraid it was going to start breaking. And don't even get me started on brushing it! Well, after chatting my amazing friends on Facebook, we now have used Moroccan Oil, Wen treatments, a Wet Brush (which I LOVE, too!!), and special shampoo's. Janie, my hairdresser, also suggested a Malibu treatment to get rid of the chlorine and make her hair silky smooth again. Of course, I coordinated with my color, too. So, off to the salon we went to get beautified!!

She hated this part, but I though she was stinkin' adorable. She kept screaming "Janie, when am I done?" Thank goodness for Netflix on my phone!

After she was done, she went over for a good trim and a blow dry...doesn't she look so big???

I can't believe the difference it made! It's so soft...I'm kind of jealous...











I gots nuttin'

Seriously....
We did nothing this weekend. I grocery shopped and get a bridal shower gift. We did host pool n ponds for our youth group but there are no pictures because it rained. Haha! This is the only picture I took this weekend. And I had to. Look closely...See that button she's wearing? It's Uncle Nate when he was like 5 and playing t-ball. She was excited that she wouldn't take it off. So I had to take the picture to share with him. So adorable!

Confessions and iPhone Pics

It's Friday...so let's confess...

1. I have horrible gray hair. And I'm not even playing. I've been getting my whole head colored since I was 22. It seems like the older I get the color doesn't stick to my hair. Within days of my expensive color, I have gray hair popping up everywhere. So, I (gasp) bought store bought hair color. I have to try to keep up with it. And I'm not rich. It actually didn't turn out too bad. But I'm going Tuesday to get the real deal...

2. I confess that I completely binge watched Pretty Little Liars. Three seasons. 70 something episodes. In 2 weeks. How did I do that with a 4 soon to be five year and still pull of the birthday bash? No clue. But now, I'm trying to find a free website so I can get caught up on season 4 where they are now. How did I not know about this show before??

3. I confess that I love organization. I cannot get enough. So I broke down and got the Erin Condren planner. And I cannot wait for it to arrive!!!

4. This next picture goes with this confession. I spent $35 on hair products for Ava. Her hair is awful! She swims so much that her hair is basically stripped from the chlorine. It's nothing but an absolute tangled mess. I surveyed my Facebook world and got lots of good tips! Keep your fingers crossed.

5. I confess that I am completely convinced that any sleep is not enough sleep. Whether is be 2 hours, or 11 hours, I'm always exhausted!!!

6. Yesterday I went to lunch with my brother. I had on a light gray shirt. I took a bite of my sandwich and spilled BBQ sauce down the front. Way too much to hide it!!! So, I left lunch, went to Meijer, and bought a new shirt. Only one person noticed back at work. LOL!!!

We have a quiet weekend planned!! Woohoo! Hope you have a great weekend!!!

New Scooter!!

Apparently the word got out that Ava is a big fan of Doc McStuffins, resulting in a few double Doc gifts. So we returned the items to Walmart and Miss Ava Kate got a $47 credit! After convincing her that we didn't another Barbie, we decided on a scooter. It was a great decision! She loves it!!!

Only rule? ALWAYS wear a helmet!!!

Happy 5th Birthday, Ava Kate!!!

Ava's actual birthday was on Sunday. Ava chose Curious George this year! We made it super fun!!
To say we celebrated Friday - Monday would be accurate. Parties, cakes, cookies, Build A Bear, swimming, presents, Chuck E Cheese! We had a blast. Beware, picture overload!!!

Dear Ava,
I hope you had a fantastic birthday! I love you with all my heart! You amaze me every day!! How are you 5 years old? You make sure we know, too. You woke up this morning and said "Don't forget, I'm 5!' LOL!
