Whew...What a day! We made it to the airport on time after dropping Raphael off to Aunt Frannie for the week!
All was well and the flight was on time. About an hour before take off, a big snow storm started in Detroit. While we were wondering if they would delay, we boarded the plane. The flight attendants stopped us and asked Ava if she wanted to meet the pilots! Miss Thing made her way to the cock pit and got to sit in the "drivers seat".
We made our way to our seats and got ready fro take off. Ava, Aunt Emily and I sat together.
Aunt Emily isn't a fan of flying so we tried to calm her nerves. We also learned of the ramifications for the snow storm. We had to wait for the runways to be plowed and de-icing the plane. So, we sat. For 2 1/2 hours on the tarmac. Ava did as well as can be expected and Emily was a hot mess. The anticipation was killing her!! We finally took off after we were supposed to land in Orlando. Ugh. Once we got to Orlando, we met up with Evelyn who hung out with us for a couple of hours. They passed the time while I got the car rental taken care of.
We got to our hotel, checked in, and headed out to eat and get groceries. We finally got back and everything put away and we passed out. Traveling can be so exhausting!!!
