California - Day 6

We woke up early to enjoy one last breakfast with the family.
Everyone was leaving Temecula and heading home.

But not our family!!
We had a few more days in California.
So it was to our next destination...Los Angeles!
Now, this part of the trip was a HUGE bucket list item for me.
I love celebrities and TV and movies and all things Hollywood.
We headed North armed with a long list of places to visit.
I had spent many hours comparing my addresses to a Los Angeles map to ensure we were smart about our visits.
Therefore the very first stop as we arrived in Los Angeles was
Torrance High School. Better known to 90's teens as West Beverly Hills High from Beverly Hills, 90210.

Next up was Huntington Beach which shows this little beauty.
The beach apartment from Beverly Hills, 90210.

Time for lunch!
Off to Melrose Ave. for the infamous Pink's Hot Dog!

Crazy selections!

Check these out!

We left there and checked into the hotel.
We dropped our luggage and ventured out.
Our hotel was called The Magic Castle.
More on that later.
We stayed one block from Hollywood Blvd.
We were so excited!
But wow...it was a lot.
It's crazy crowded and I was in Mama Bear mode the entire time.
There are lots of roadside stands, people dressed up super goofy for photos.

But we walked to the TCL Chinese Theatre.
It's incredibly gorgeous!

The handprints and signatures were so cool!

Addy was super excited to purchase her gigantic pop it!

John and Ava found the one star that they couldn't wait to find!

Ava was stoked to find the mangonado.
I have no clue. It's a TikTok thing.

It was quite a busy day and the girls were done and wanted to swim.
We headed back to the hotel.
As I mentioned previously, we stayed at The Magic Castle.
It is an old apartment building turned into rooms.
The rooms are still in the process of being renovated so they are still pretty run down, but clean.
The AC wasn't wonderful but we made do.
The perks on the other hand were off the charts.
The heated pool was open 24/7.
They had a complimentary round the clock snack bar.
All the candy and salty snacks you could want.
A free soft serve ice cream machine.
A free coke machine.
And this...
The popsicle hotline.
You can pick up the red phone and order a popsicle and they deliver it directly to you.

So we spent the rest of the evening swimming and enjoying our popsicles.

Early to bed because the next day was another super filled day!!
