Social Distancing - Week 1

While we had no idea what we were getting into, this week has been fantastic!
I'm surprised at how well this super busy family slid into a low key lifestyle.
I am working from home. But I work for an amazing company who is allowing me time with my kids and working my hours at times it's convenient for our family.
The girls and I do really well with schedules so we sat down on Sunday night as a family and established a schedule. We have barely had to tweak it. It's working so well.
We had to purchase a few things to make things easier.
My new workspace!
I also went to Dollar General and bought some things to keep the girls organized.

Part of our distance learning is called Special Instruction.
This is a different activity that John and I are doing with the girls to help with life skills.
Day 1 -- Cookie Decorating

We've also created a list of things we want to clean and organize.
Day 1 -- The Pantry

Doing so well!

We also are dinner prepping after we eat lunch!

Day 2 Special Instruction was John. I had a conference call!
He taught the how to use a drill!

Cursive Writing!

There is quite a bit of together time. Including when I shower.

Genoa started a "Bear Hunt"
Residents of Genoa put stuffed bears in their windows to give families an activity to do while distancing.
We spent Special Instruction on a field trip!

I miss my friends. So we set up a video call one evening where we all enjoyed a drink and caught up with each others lives.

Addy had a video chat with her Intervention Specialist.
So cute!

While Ava and I enjoyed our morning coffee.

Part of their assignments for Art were to do self portraits of something they enjoy doing.
Addy is eating ice cream

Ava is playing soccer.

They were also supposed to play a sport together for Gym class!

Special Instruction on the warmest day was a bike ride with Daddy!

I realized I needed to move. I've been going outside but I needed to walk a long distance. Haha!
So off to the park!

We stopped and picked up Ignite for lunch!
Still have to support our small businesses!

I saw this super cool project on Facebook.
Making a stained glass window.
Acrylic paint with a touch of Dawn dish detergent , some tape and they were off!

While I was waiting for the paint to dry, I enjoyed "Wine with DeWine". But since it was a work day, it was "Tea with DeWine"

We received an amazing note and some cookies from our awesome neighbors.
We have a great community!

The finished product! Love how it turned out!

We made banana bread!

And decided to share with our friends!
Ava was sneaking up to drop it off!

I think they liked it!

We truly had a great week and look forward to Week #2!
