When we first posted that we were in Baltimore I had a Facebook friend reach out. By friend, I mean someone who I have never met, but know through the adoption world. We had been Facebook friends for quite some time. They only lived about 20 minutes from the cruise port and asked us to stop by on our return. Their daughter Eliana and Ava were in the Shanghai orphanage at the exact same time. They share the same Chinese surname and first name.
All children who entered in 2008 were given the surname, Wu.
All children who entered in July were given the first name Jia.
I'm so grateful we were able to get our Wu babies together!
They have no memories of each other but hit off! They played solid for 2 hours.
And we have lifelong friends!
