It's Friday!!!

Let's confess...

1. The Little Couple. Oh, where do I start?? If you aren't familiar this is a couple, they are a couple who have a show on TLC and they are adopting from China. Well, so far this season it has been documenting their journey. I've cried. Every.Single.Week. Well, this past week was the "Gotcha Day" episode. The preview alone made me sob. Not cry, not weep, SOB. Therefore, I haven't watched it yet. It's just sitting there on my DVR calling my name. I'm building myself up. Aren't emotions crazy???

2. I love to read. And to be honest, I love the good love story sex books. The gaudier, the rauchier the better. I have just finished Beautiful Disasters and Walking Disaster. Loved them!!! So, I go to my kindle and look at the books that are recommended for me. There is a new one called Tempt Me. Ok, I'm tempted. And the best part?? It was free! So, I downloaded it and started it. Got totally sucked in. Clicking page after page and then all of a sudden it was over. I scrolled back and yep. This book was a whole 6 chapters and I read it in like a half an hour. Talk about disappointing. It was good, but I wasn't ready for it to be over. Stupid book.

3. Ok, this one is kind of mean. I'm almost to embarrassed to type it. Yesterday, I was walking to my car. And there is this camaro in the parking lot. Parked at an angle so no one would park close. The license plate? BJLOUS. Are you kidding me??? For a split second, my rebellious teenage years came back and I wanted to key the car. I know! I said a split second.

And I have to share one picture. I love when Ava borrows my phone and then I find this. I think this was on the trolley ride in Hershey. She apparently was bored! LOL!

She cracks me up!! Love her!!! Hope you have a great weekend!!!

Memorial Day Weekend

We had no plans. Nothing. It was great! With all of our travels lately, it was nice to just chill for once. I did get some major projects done. I cleaned out my clothes, Ava's clothes, and the spare bedroom closet. Yea!! And the best find?
Ava's glasses that she lost. She was so excited and I think the words "You are the best mom" may have come out of her mouth! Haha!

Hope your weekend was wonderful!!!

Confessions

I have a crazy day at work tomorrow and I have lots to confess....so here they are a day early!

1. Before we left for Hershey on Saturday, we went to Morgan's birthday party. Lisa gave all the kids treat bags. I confess that I allowed Ava to chow down on the treats in the car to keep her from being a horrible car mate.

2. For the rest of the story on Ava sleeping on the trolley...she fell asleep on me. She drooled on her shirt. She had a hershey kiss in her mouth. Yep, I walked around the rest of the day with a chocolate drool stain on my shirt. Oh, the joys of parenthood!

3. We bought a pack of 30 candy bars for Ava's class at Chocolate World. I brought them home and showed them to my mom. She reminded me that they aren't allowed to have nuts or peanut butter in the class. So...I did it. I went to the Dollar Store and bought enough candy bars to cover the amount of Reeses Peanut Butter Cups and Hershey with Almonds. While the kids are thinking they are eating straight from Hershey candy bars, they were eating them straight from the Dollar Store! LOL!

4. I went shopping at the Outlets in Hershey. I confess that I went into the Gymboree Outlet and bought NOTHING. I should get a frickin' award for that!!!

5. And one sad confession...while driving around Hershey, we passed a cemetary. My heart broke when I saw a young guy sitting in a chair in front of a grave playing the guitar. If I would have paid more attention I would have taken flowers to the grave. But I couldn't remember the specific. But it just made my heart so sad.

Hershey

If you live close to Hershey, I suggest you make the roadtrip and visit this sweet little town! I loved it, Ava loved it, John loved it. Granted, we are all on chocolate overload and I don't know when I'll eat a Hershey bar again. LOL! Prepare for picture overload....

We went swimming!

Strolled though town and enjoyed the Hershey kiss streetlights!
Enjoyed massive hot dogs at Fuddruckers!
 Visited Chocolate World!

Enjoyed a ride in the park!

 Packaged Hershey Kisses!

Waited for the 3D Movie and enjoying the art work!

 We created candy bars!

 We played at the playground!
We took a trolley ride around the town!

Ava passed out. Apparently, it was too boring for her! Check out my confessions for more on this...
And rode rides while Mama shopped at the Outlets!
We had a great trip!!! It was nice to go away but I'm glad our travels are over. Now to focus on the big 5-0 for John!!

United Flight 93 Memorial

On the way to Hershey this past weekend, we came across the exit of the Flight 93 Memorial. We figured we wouldn't be that way again for awhile so we made the trip. It ended up taking longer than planned but I'm so glad we went.

God Bless those souls that lost their life that day. We will continue to pray for them and their families.

Happy 7th Birthday, Morgan!

Saturday night we celebrated Morgan Feather's 7th birthday!! How is it possible this child is 7? I remember when Lisa told me she was pregnant, I remember when she was born, I remember every single birthday. I love this kid!!
Hope you had a fantastic birthday, Morgan!!! The Houghtaling's love you!!

Sara's Baby Shower

This past Saturday was also Sara's baby shower. It was the super cutest theme! Forest Friends!!

We are all anxiously awaiting the arrival of Samuel! I can't wait to meet the little dude! So excited!!
