We had an awesome visit with Uncle Nate. It was so sad to see him go back to Florida. It never gets any easier to say goodbye...:(
But I think it's safe to say, that Ava loves her Uncle Nate! On Friday I took a half day vacation to spend some quality time with our family and Nate. We decided to go to the mall. I was hesitant, because it was cutting in to nap time for Ava. But she actually did great! She started melting down at the end, but did fairly well.

This may have possibly been the funniest part of the whole day. We were walking through the mall and started to pass Abercrombie. Well, if you are familiar with the store they tend to BLARE their music. Let's just say Ava literally dropped everything and started to bust a move!
She definitely drew a crowd and was very entertaining. Nate took a video so I'll have to get it from him and post it on here.

On Saturday, we needed a change of scenery. We are tired of being cooped up in our house. And tired of winter. So, off to Maumee Bay for the night we went! Two other couples went with us and took their kids. It was perfect and I highly recommend it for those needing something different to do. Ava LOVED it! I mean she really had a blast!!
We went swimming first and she is a little fish. They had a section where it just had water shooting up. She could've stayed forever if we would have let her.

Today, it was the first weekend to start our summer tradition and getting to share it with Ava. I know it may be silly to some, but it was a milestone in our family! Mel-O-Creme opened on Friday. We always go on Sunday evening from the time they open until they close in the fall. Not only is this a sure sign of spring, but they have the BEST ice cream! We couldn't wait to share it with Ava!

PS: Still struggling with the 5-5:30 wake-ups. I am completely dreading this time change coming up. She's gonna be up at 4:30!! Argh!!
