Mudhens and Birthday's!!!

Last Sunday night we went to the Mudhen's game. The Down Syndrome Association of Toledo hosted an event. We've been to a few games since the field opened, but I have a feeling we will be attending ALOT more. Ava loved it! She was so good and just danced and clapped and ate food!

We had a pretty quiet week which led up to Friday. My birthday!! I have to admit birthday's haven't always been my favorite thing. I always felt like it was just a reminder of what I was missing in my life. And now...she's here. Ava is what I have always dreamt about, thought about, and loved! And because of her, my amazing hubby, our beautiful home, my family and friends...I have it all. I have never been happier or more content in my life.

So, this year I wanted to celebrate!! And that I did! My friend, Tricia and I, took a half day vacation and spent the afternoon on the patio at El Camino. It was a beautiful day! We had so much fun! I had friends and family in and out all afternoon. My mom came towards the end and brought Ava for a little bit! She kept her overnight so that we could sleep in the next morning. Thanks to everyone who came out to celebrate!! Love you!!

After El Camino, John and I went to our neighbors house and hung out with them. They built a fire and we just relaxed and laughed. It was great!!

On Saturday, we had Evan's birthday party! Ava took a little bit to warm up. She had just awoken from her nap and it takes her a little bit to wake up. I shouldn't have timed it better, but oh, well. She did warm up to everyone and really started to enjoy herself and Evan's new toys.

Saturday night we had some new friends over for a cookout. They are adopting from Korea. This is the first time we had met them, but we had such a great time! They were great people and we had lots of fun and laughs! I can't wait to meet their little guy!! Of course, my camera battery was dead so I didn't get any pictures.

And today is Father's Day! Ava is so blessed to have the best daddy!! She adores him! So, we decided to thank him with a new hedge trimmer. Not what I would want, but everyone is different! Haha!!

We had my dad and his wife over this afternoon for dinner. We had a pretty low key day. Hope you had a great weekend!

Love,

S.
