Master Bath Remodel

Our master bathroom is DONE!
And we are in LOVE!
It was everything we wanted.

Addy's Basketball!

We are really trying to make a big deal about Addy's basketball.
They are nowhere on the same level as Ava's but I don't want Addy to be discouraged.
So, we are obnoxiously over cheering, taking tons of photos.
She gets so excited!
It's adorable!

Arsenal Indoor Session 2

These 2 ladies and their team cinched the 1st place spot in the indoor league!
We were tied with another team and we played them on Saturday.
With THREE minutes to go we were down 4-1.
The coach held back the starters for most of the game, which we didn't understand.
Well, then it made sense.
He saved them to blitz them.
In THREE minutes, we scored 4 goals and won the game 5-4!
First place for Green!!

Snow Day!

We finally had a snow day!
The girls were thrilled!
Ava paired up with Tatum and they made a snow man and then went around and shoveled walks.
They made $100!

This one found out quickly that she grew about five feet over the summer!
Look at those high waters!

But it's all we had, so we made do. And she made the cutest snowman!

Chinese New Year!

Our New Year was very low key.

When it's basketball season, not much else happens.

But....

We did manage to make it Addy's classroom for what is our last class presentation. In her words, next year she will be too big.

Since last year was a huge success, we did the very same thing and did the entire 5th grade class! The kids rotated rooms and I has one of these amazing adults in each room.

Since most of the kids have done this once or twice, I wanted to switch things up!
John was in charge of Chinese writing. I had a video lined up for them with the history of the characters and how they are read. John then projected the alphabet in characters and the kids could write their names. They loved it!

I was in charge on explaining the New Year and giving out the famous red envelopes.
Panda Express had a fantastic video that showed what the new year was, what it meant, and how the animals became in the zodiac.

My mom was in charge of food! Everyone's favorite part. This year we did dumplings, traditional chinese rice cakes, and Addy's favorite candy: haw flakes.

My friend Stacey assisted and made lanterns with the kids.

This was a special year as it was the Rabbit and my sweet Addycakes falls into that category!
Happy Chinese New Year!

January 18th

Guess the favorite uncle who celebrated 15 years of sobriety?

January 18th will always hold a special place in our hearts.

MLK Day

We spent MLK Day with our favorites!

The girls were off school, Daddy was off work and Owens Corning closes and asks their employees to participate by giving back to the community.

We met up with the sisters for lunch at Red Robin. So yummy and the company was fantastic!

After lunch, we headed to the Toledo Humane Society to drop off some donations.
We also spent time looking at animals.
I'm not going to lie, I truly wanted to bring home this pit bull.
She was super sweet and the girls and I fell in love.
John was a hard no. Ha!

But...he wasn't wrong. The other day, I was gone for 15 hours. That's not good for a dog.
But for now, I go through puppy fever and send links to John. Haha!
