Happy 4th of July!

Fourth of July weekend was so relaxing. We didn't have any major plans and took full advantage of our backyard. I had taken Friday off work and we took the girls on a picnic to a local park. 

It was a gorgeous day! 

We were secretly happy that Uncle Nate offered to take the girls to fireworks so John and I didn't have to. Ha!

So we spent lots of time in the pool and hanging out with family!

John and I decided to build a pergola on our back patio. 

We have a few more things to do to the roof bur are pretty pleased on how it turned out!

 And we got this new furniture! I love it!!

Happy Birthday, Nana!

One week after I turned 40, Nana turned 60. 

We kept our birthdays very low key and celebrated with dinner out. 

Hope you had a wonderful birthday, Nana!

Ridin' Horses with our Panda's!

We had the opportunity to step in Jade's world for our monthly Panda playgroup. 

My girls loved it! We got up close and personal with the horses! And even got to take them for a ride. 

Jade taught us all about how they eat and how to brush them and also how to clean their hooves. It was super cool for adults and kids!

And as always, we got to spend the wonderful day with our friends!

Houghtaling Family Vacation 2016 Days 4-9 (Outer Banks, NC)

After we spent our time in Washington DC, we headed south to the Outer Banks in North Carolina. It was time to spend the week with a majority of the Houghtaling Family. 

31 adults and 9 children to be exact. 

We had a wonderful time! There was always someone to talk to, play cards with, and the girls played with cousins all week. 

Sun, sand, Minute to Win It games, Sand games, and tons of fun!
