Time Change Sicky

Monday morning started pretty rough for little Addy. What I thought was a struggle to the time change turned out to be a bit of the stomach bug. I truly couldn't get her to wake up in the morning. I thought she was exhausted.

I dropped her at school and she couldn't keep her eyes open. So they pulled out a cot for her to lay down. I called to check on her when I got to work and they said she was still laying down but awake. They said they would let her lay down as long as she needed. Well, about 10 minutes later they called me because she had vomited everywhere. Ugh. Poor girl. I left to pick her up and took her home to snuggle in jammies with a  bowl.

Well, she recovered pretty quickly. She was fine the rest of the day and has been since. She pretty much spent the rest of the day doing this. Jumping on the bed.

Making A Volcano!

On Friday at school, Ava's class made volcano's. And it's all she has talked about and kept begging me to make one at home. I finally texted Mrs. Mullen and she shared her "recipe" on Pinterest. Ava was stoked!

And it worked so well! The girls loved it!!

While it's been quiet in these parts, it's never a dull moment...

Trying on her baptism gown. Still have to plan it!

Saturday night date night consisted of Starbucks at 9:30pm

Dinner with my girls!

And daddy!

Entertaining ourselves on a snowy Sunday by balancing coins between our toes and coloring on ourselves with green marker

Enjoyed our first Mel O Creme of the season!

FaceTime with Grandma!

And running into an old preschool friend! They were adorable and so shy at first!

Happy Birthday, Emmett!

Saturday morning we headed out to Chick Fil A to celebrate Emmett's Fith Birthday!!! What a great start to the day!

We had a visit from the cow and got to have yummy cupcakes! I think Addy's mouth is still purple.

Any day we get to spend with friends is the BEST day!

We just weren't ready to say goodbye when the party was over so we headed over to the play area at the mall. The big girls are getting so big.

While they spent most of their time on my phone watching Katy Perry video's, we still had a great time. The girls were taking selfies and Heather caught them and I had the actual on my phone. So sweet!

It was such a wonderful day! And Emmett, we hope you had a wonderful birthday!!!

Chinese New Year - Ava Kate Style

After rescheduling twice due to the weather, it finally worked out for me to visit Ava's class room to talk about Chinese New Year!

I was so nervous! I was afraid these kids were going to eat me alive! Ha! But I was wrong! They were amazing! And awesome! And so interested!

We started off talking about China and a little piece about adoption. I brought Ava's picture book from China, her traditional Chinese outfit, and money. The money was my ace in the hole. They loved that!

After our "discussion" we moved to the tables for them to work on a craft. We made Chinese lanterns! It was so fun!

We snapped a couple of quick picture with the group and one with Mrs. Mullen.

We handed out treats and juice and they were all happy little campers. It made my day! Really made my day.

Super Hero Academy

I signed the girls up for a Super Hero Academy being held at a local school. There were characters and they taught them how to be a superhero with a meet and greet afterwards. These are the only 2 pictures you will see of Addy. She had a complete meltdown and freaked out. So my mom took her out and the hallway wasn't even far enough. So they left and went to Walmart. Ha!

Ava, on the hand, absolutely LOVED it! It didn't hurt that her favorites were there! Batman, Spiderman, Leonardo, Supergirl, and Loki (the villain).

After the presentation, we walked around so she could meet her hero's.

And she got all of their autographs. She kept saying "This is the best day!"
