Fair, Friends, and Fire!

After John and Ava "worked" at BP, they joined the Skiver's at the Ottawa County Fair. Addy and I stayed back because I couldn't even begin to imagine walking that fair in a cast. Yes, I'm still in a cast. More on that later. Anyhow, I stole these pictures from John and Sarah. It looks like they had a great time!

After the fair, everyone came back to our house to hang out. Not only did we have friends, look who else was here! 

He came in late Thursday night for the big birthday weekend. I didn't last too long outside. The mosquito's were horrible and I go to bed early. I'm a total baby about sleep! Haha! So again, I stole pictures. 

Another great summer night. 

Take Your Daughter to Work Day

John took Ava to work with him on Friday. Not to run the controls, but for a special event being put on by BP! She had breakfast, lunch, got her own ID badge, a t-shirt, and a great experience! I'm thankful John works for a company that takes such pride in their employees and families.

For the last week, I kept thinking I need to update my blog. But my goodness, we have been so busy…So here we go…

Ava attended Vacation Bible School at our church. She asked for her cousin, Jordyn to join her. I think it's safe to say they had a great time! Ava was so excited every day!

And a big shout out to Ryan! He makes it so fun!

Welcome Home, Addy Grace!

When you have a great friend who is a photographer AND meets you at the airport after your flight home from China, you get these. I can't even begin to explain how happy these make my heart. Thanks, H! Love you!

Happenings

Things are crazy, busy, and oh so much FUN! We are enjoying our time off from work and school for sure. However, I'm about ready to get back on schedules. Ava is constantly asking what we are doing next. She's getting to use to this life! Ha!!

We've had other friend over to swim (even in the rain!)

Mama had foot surgery (everything is ok!) and provided Ava with a new art canvas. Can't wait to see what it looks like in 2 weeks when I get it off. 

Ava got an early birthday present from Nana! Her first pair of Chuck's!

And roller skates. Anxiety medicine, anyone??

We have spent many of hours doing this!

Things are settling nicely for this family! We are gearing up for Miss Ava's big birthday this weekend! She is super excited! 

Happy Birthday, Katie!

Ava and Addy were invited to Miss Katie's birthday party on Saturday! Katie's mama knocked this out of the park! The girls had an amazing time at the Madeline themed party. It was held at our local Art Museum which is already a favorite of ours! There were costumes, stories, painting, and a little scavenger hunt that Ava LOVED!!! Thanks for letting us be a part of your big day, Katie! Hope you had a great birthday!!

BP Family Night at The Mudhens!

Remember that one time when I didn't blog for almost a week? Neither do I…

BP (John's employer) hosted a family night at Fifth Third Field. So we loaded up our "so many childrens" and headed downtown. I had bought the girls matching shirts, shocker, right??? BP put quite the night. Wow! There were balloon animals, face painting, little gift bags for the kids, and ice cream!! And our girls took part in everything! They had such a good time! We didn't stay for fireworks because Addy doesn't handle them well. And Ava doesn't know they have them so it was all good! Haha!
