Basketball

We signed Ava up for a Pre K Basketball program through our local YMCA. This kid is a natural athlete. She had never played before and she knew exactly what to do and was actually good. My little tomboy!! Her first game was this past Saturday. Her team, hhmmm hhmmm, needs a little more practice. But she had fun and that's what counts!!

They sat her out for a quarter and she apparently needed a little more rest.

Fun Weekend with Our Friends! Art Museum and Emmett's Birthday and Sylvania Playland!

We left the laundry, suitcases, and piles of crap to put away on Friday night to head to the art museum with Ella and Roz. It was needed. We enjoyed a nice dinner and then headed down to the family center so the girls could play and practice their art. However, Ava had no desire to practice art. She just wanted to play. Haha!

With a few minutes before the museum closing, we headed upstairs to one of the exhibits where the girls could create their own shadow box type display. Proudly representing!

Saturday was Emmett's 4th Birthday Party! How is he 4?? The best part of the party was the magician. He was awesome and the kids loved him!!

Ella and Roz watched from a distance and Daddy even got to be part of the show!

After all the magic was over, everyone got balloon animals and Emmett got an awesome hat!!!

Thanks for the invite, Skiver family! We had a blast!!!
Saturday night we were invited to go to Chuck E Cheese with the other Ella and Evan. We got there and it was jam packed swamped. So, we opted to stop for a quick dinner and then head to Sylvania Playland. The kids enjoyed a round of golf and some time in the bouncy houses.

What a fun way to spend our last few days of vacation before heading back to work and school.

Florida, Day 8 - Lunch with Jeremy and Jen and Travel Home

Jeremy and Jen came back early on Thursday from their cruise to pick up Evelyn. We all headed to the Cheesecake Factory for lunch and to kill some time before heading to the airport. We hated to say goodbye and to leave the warmer weather! We had a great time and it was a wonderful trip! And a nice break from this brutal winter. Now, back to reality!

Florida, Day 7 - More Swimming and Downtown Disney

Wednesday was our last full day in Florida. As depressing as it was, I was just about ready to come home. I like schedules and routines, however I didn't want to leave the weather. So taking full advantage, we headed down to the pool once more time.

After spending a few hours down at the pool, we all headed up to get showers and venture out again. We decided to have an early dinner at Downtown Disney. We went to the T-Rex restaurant. It reminded me of Rainforest Cafe but with dinosaurs. I didn't know how Ava would do but she loved it!!! Every 20 minutes there was a meteor shower and the dinosaurs would come "alive".

After dinner we went to leave and it was torrentially down pouring! The restaurant had a little space where you could go dig bones. The girls loved it and it was nice to pass time while hoping the rain to pass.

After awhile it was still raining but we had another option. So these lovely people bought poncho's in the dinosaur gift shop. Bahahahaha!!!

Next stop was the Lego Store. This is all Ava asked to do. We had to go.

We rode the carousel and headed to Rainforest Cafe to see Tracy Tree. And we had tons of fun in the gift shop!

What a great time!
