School's OUT!! 1st Trip of the Summer {NYC, Day #1}

Final bell for the school year rang at 2:30pm. 

By 3pm, we were on our way to the first trip of the summer! 

We FINALLY talked John into visiting NYC! The girls and I were so excited. 

I researched and found a great hotel in Time Square. I wanted to be central since it was our first time! We checked in and hit the streets!

Lots of wandering, walking in and out of stores and just taking it all in! 

The weather wasn't everything we wanted, it was lightly raining and chilly but we still were so excited to be there!

I had a loooooong list of things to see! 

St. Patrick's Cathedral was at the top of the list!

Are you even in NYC if you don't indulge in a street corner hot dog?

We made our way to Central Park. 

We decided to take the horse and carriage ride. 

It was so fun!

It was Fleet Week in the city. Sailors EVERYWHERE! 

Rockefeller Center

I was very excited for our dinner reservations. 

Years ago, I saw a movie. They had dinner at Serendipity. I have said for years that I wanted to have dinner at Serendipity in New York. 

Well, I did. :)

John ordered the Sunday Dinner Sundae.

We finished off Day 1 with big smiles on our faces!

Addy Grace Goes to Cedar Point!

 Addy wrapped up her 7th grade choir with a competition and Cedar Point. 

This was a major source of conversation for weeks. Ava had an out of town soccer tournament but Addy really wanted to go to Cedar Point. She made the decision to stay back with Nana and Jojo for the weekend. She was so nervous but she had the best time!

I kept getting snaps and photos throughout the day. I was so proud of her!

She even won a gigantic pickle and Carrieann won a frog. Ha! 

Meanwhile in Dayton...this was the snaps and photos I was getting. 

Addy's 7th Grade Choir Concert

 Addy LOVED choir this year! 

It was her first class of the day and she was always so excited! 

They wrapped up the year with a concert. It was nice to see it all come together. 

Fun fact: The two girls next to Addy are new friends, Sammie and Carrieann. They are both super sweet and Addy is doing more socially than she has in a while.

Also, can we talk about how Maisie has grown so much and is so much taller than Addy!
