Cleveland!

It was time for another road trip with Katie and Roz. Everyone was ready.
Because of schedules and the holidays and vacations coming up, we decided on a day trip to Cleveland. I may have pushed for this a little because I was dying to go to a famous house. More on that. We started out early on Saturday and made our way to our first stop.

The Melt!
How do you go to Cleveland and not eat at The Melt! So yummy!
Katie's sandwich was bigger than her head! HA!

Next up was all I wanted to do. My life is complete. Ha!
The Christmas Story House!

We visited the gift shop, museum, and house! It was so cool!

It was so cool and I'm thankful my group humored me on this visit.
Next up was a gigantic candy store.
It was super cool and the girls made purchases for taste testing later on.

After we loaded up on sugar, we headed downtown to check out the sights.
We found the department store where A Christmas Story was filmed. It's actually now a casino but they still had the sign!

We drove past the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. It was closed but we snagged a picture.

It was a cold and rainy day so we decided to head home.
But not before a pit stop for cheesecake.
But our fun wasn't over.
We had a sleepover!!
We watched movies, ate lots of food and chilled out.
The girls participated in their taste test challenge. Katie and I tried a little. But gross.

We had a wonderful time and no one was ready to say goodbye.

Pumpkins {Fleitz Pumpkin Farm}

Our lives have been crazy with school, sports, and everything else!
We were very behind on Halloween, so I came home from work on the Friday before Halloween, grabbed the girls, and we headed to Fleitz. I made them take come pictures before I let them play.
They cooperated, we got donuts and they played in the gross corn for 15 minutes.

We picked out pumpkins and went home to decorate. I'm not a carver, it's too much work.
So we glued broken crayons to the top and busted out the hair dryer!
The girls loved it!

The finished product. Not super cool but cool enough.

Eights Years As A Family

October 25th marked our eight year Family Day with Ava Kate.
We sent her a little basket of goodies to school and her teacher sent me this!

We gave her the option of dinner at a restaurant of her choice or dinner at home.
She opted for dinner at home with family and friends.
The menu consisted of KFC chicken, baked potatoes, mac and cheese, and drumsticks for dessert.
She spent the evening with her closest friends and our family.
It was a super special evening!

It has been an amazing eight years. I love the age where she is because she gets me and life.
We love to jam to music in the car and sing like we are in concert.
Her taste of food is maturing so she is getting a little expensive but it's so fun to explore with her.
She also likes to roll her eyes, talk back, and fight with her sister.
All of this adds up to the perfect girl.
I love her. So Much.

Self Defense

Our church hosted a self defense class for women and young girls.
Ava, Cora, and I participated and we learned so much!
I was super proud of the girls. They took it seriously and I truly believed they learned something.

Soccer

What a season!!
Our fall season has come to an end.
The girls had tournaments last weekend.
Addy's team lost in the first round and Ava's team ended up in 3rd place for the league.
Ava's last game ended extremely emotional.
These girls played their hearts out.
We went into double overtime with a shootout.
It ended 5-4 in the shootout because Ava's kick was blocked.
It was so sad and hard.
The girls were devastated. The parents were sad. And the coach even was choked up.
I couldn't be any more proud of their season. We are going to keep working through the winter and come out strong next season. Here are pictures from the season from us and other parents.
I love seeing these girls in action!

Oh, and one action volleyball shot!

Addy Grace Goes To The Fire Station!

Addy's class took a trip across the street to see tour the fire station.
I snagged some pictures from her teacher!
So sweet!
