AVA TURNS 10!!

Yes, it's true. Ava has turned TEN. 

She's ten. Double digits. 

I gave her the option of a big party or a small slumber party. 

She chose the small slumber party. 

We started out the day with me being the meanest mom in the world because I made her go to Kumon. 

But I tried to make it up to her with a birthday cake pop from Starbucks. 

The party kicked off with taco's, followed by the pinata.

She chose a soccer theme and an ice cream cake!

I'm so grateful she has such amazing sweet friends!

Roz made sure the three girls had matching shirts!

Lots of swimming

And smores!

I spent the next 20 mins cleaning out spit cups from the big game of BeanBoozled. 

We had some late ones and I think they finally were all asleep by 2:30am. 

There may have been a cuss word out of my mouth when the screaming became too loud!

Donuts and a little more swimming the next morning rounded the party out. 

She had a great party and we all took it easy the next days and took awesome naps!

Ava Kate's Progressive Birthday Dinner!

Keeping up with our new tradition, we kicked off Ava's birthday with her dinner choice. 

First up, dinner at Bob Evans! I love this kid. Her favorite place to eat is Bob's and she asks to go there all the time. 

Next up was coffee and cookies at McDonalds.

Summer Fun Day!!

We are entering the world of orthodontics for Ava. (Stay tuned)

I took a day of vacation because she had to have two teeth pulled to help with the insertion of her expander. Well, she was super nervous about this and worked and worked and pulled the two teeth out before the appointment. I sent the pictures to the dentist and she pulled the correct teeth so we didn't need the appointment. We still had some errands to run because of the big event the next day (stay tuned for that, too!) so I kept my day. 

We squeezed in some play time with Ella and Roz!

Had lunch at QQ with some of the FCC mama's

And had Katie chauffeur us around. 

It was a super fun day off!

Mermaid Party!

Our sweet neighbor invited Ava and Addy over for a Mermaid Party! She was throwing the party for her grandchildren and thought to include my girls, which was so sweet! 

She even made this awesome food! 

We are fortunate to live in an amazing neighborhood!

Happy Birthday, Uncle Nate!

We celebrated Uncle Nate's 36th birthday poolside with pizza and ice cream sundae's. 

He wanted a low key celebration and that's exactly what he did! 

Cedar Point Shores

We have had some super hot days so when our friends invited us to spend the day at Cedar Point Shores, we jumped at the chance! This is the old Soak City and was recently remodeled. 

We had fun on the slides, the lazy river, and just enjoying the water!

We stopped at the Marblehead Lighthouse on the way home and enjoyed the beauty. I realized how fortunate we are to live in this area during the summer. Lake Erie offers so much! 

It was a long but super fun day!

VBS!!!

Our church hosted VBS and it was SHIPWRECKED!! 

We had the best week! Both girls were with their own groups and did their own thing. 

I ran the registration table and helped where I could. 

The girls and all of the kids had a wonderful time!
