The Tour of Ohio

John and I needed some John and Sara time, so we sent the girls to Nana's and started the Tour of Ohio. It wasn't originally planned as that but we rolled with it. We started Friday night in Cleveland. We joined our friends for the Indian's game. 

The weather was perfect. Such a fun night! We headed to Medina after that to spend the night. We got up the next morning, had a quick breakfast with Uncle George and headed to Yellow Springs. Yellow Springs is down by Dayton and its the cutest little hippie town. We had a wonderful time eating, shopping, and more shopping. 

We were able to visit this Sunflower field and it was the most beautiful thing!

And one of us may have gotten a new tattoo. 

We headed home after a fun weekend and told the girls to pick where they wanted to eat for dinner. Ava decided on the "Girl with the pigtails" and there were lots of snuggles that night. 

Addy Grace Moves Up!

Our tiny but mighty FIVE year old has officially moved into the Pre-Kindergarten room at school. 

She had a few rough drop offs but is doing awesome! 

So proud of her!

Meeting Baby Amelia

Our friends, Sean and Charlotte, recently had a new baby! We were able to stop over to meet Baby Amelia. I may have possibly been a slight baby hog. 

Ava Kate didn't have much interest in holding the baby. Ha! 

When they weren't snuggling on Baby Amelia, the girls had a fun time with Big Sister, Madeleine. 

Indian Creek Zoo - Panda's

Our August Panda's group was held at Indian Creek Zoo. It's a local petting zoo and we were able to feed the animals! With the exception of one incident, we had a wonderful time with our friends!

Such a cool little place!

BG Soccer Game

After a recent soccer practice, we talked to Mya and Stella's dad and made plans to go to the Bowling Green State University Men's Soccer game. The girls had done their soccer camp over the summer and they loved it! We met for dinner first at a local restaurant and then headed to the field.

The game was so fun to watch but the girls enjoyed after the game more! We were able to go out on the field with the players and get autographs. They were running from one player to another that we could hardly keep up with them. 

What a fun time! We have another one on our agenda because they play Ohio State in a few weeks!!

Orbeez!

The girls have been begging me to buy Orbeez. They watch YouTube videos all of the time and learned all about these annoying little things. 

I held out as long as I could and then came Ava's birthday money. 

She purchased 22,000 for $16. Ugh. They begged to put them in the pool or the bathtub. No way. 

A simple Facebook post scored us this little baby pool. We dumped them in and about 15 mins later they turned into these little gel things that bounce everywhere. 

But for the hour they played in them? Totally worth it!!!

Ava Kate First Day of 2nd Grade!

I'm so far behind on my blog. Sorry Uncle Carl!! 

Ava Kate has officially started 2nd grade. She has had a great start to the new school year. 

We have brought out the Yumbox again for school lunches. She loves it and I love it. It really helps keep the lunches healthier. 

I'm glad she is a team player for the 1,000 pictures I made her take. Ha!

Her teacher wore a storm trooper shirt on the first day. That pretty much sealed the deal for Ava's love for her teacher!
