Mother's Day 2015

Aww...it was amazing. Beyond amazing. I was giddy. The girls were giddy. It was just all warm and fuzzy.

I woke up to a little sweet face, whispering "Happy Mudder's Day". I got up to go to the bathroom and was instructed to get back in bed. About 20 minutes later I was served French Toast and settled back to watch a DVR's show. I got lots of fun school gifts and interviews where I was suggested to be 55 years old. John got me the annual Packer Creek Pottery plate. And I received a few back scratches.

After my amazing morning, it was time to clean up. Because the family was coming over. Before everyone got there I wanted to get a few pictures of myself with the girls. It took a couple of tries but we got there.

Between the raindrops, I forced everyone outside for family pictures. Beware...picture overload. 

We also got to celebrate Morgan's birthday!

After a majority of the guests has left, it started to pour down rain again. The girls were begging me to play in the rain. So they stripped off their shirts and away they went. It didn't last long because it started to thunder. 

The girls jumped in the tub and got all smelling good and clean. And we ended the night snuggling. 

Perfection. 

Ava Kate's Field Trip

On Thursday I took a vacation day to chaperone Ava's field trip to the zoo! It was such a gorgeous day! The night before we packed brown bag lunches, decorated by Ava.

Before we broke out in our little groups, they took a class picture. 

I had 4 littles with me all day. Ava, Myles, Elizabeth, and Hayden. We saw the monkey's, the new aquarium, pet sting ray's, became grossed out by the snakes and fed parakeets! They kept me on my toes and exhausted me. But they were awesome and made me realize how cool our zoo really is. 

GENOA STRONG

We are Genoa Strong. We live in an amazing community! I was born and raised here, my parents, my grandparents, and great-grandparents. The school district had a big levy on the ballot. We prayed, we pleaded, we explained, we demonstrated...

And we voted. 

And it passed! I'm so proud of the district, the teachers, the board, and everyone else who brought awareness to the community. 

We are GENOA STRONG. 

Picnic in the Park

Saturday was gorgeous! My absolutely perfect ideal weather. When we returned from Quinn's shower, it was dinner time and the thought of sitting in the house was depressing. So we packed a few things, stopped at Subway, and had a picnic at the park!

After dinner, there was swinging...

We walked around the quarry and took some old bread to feed the fish

And topped it off with ice cream at the Big Dipper. 

  To quote Ava: "This is the best day with my family"

Quinn's Baby Shower

Saturday we headed north to celebrate Quinn and Baby Gia, who is due to make her appearance in early July. We are super excited to add another sweet niece/cousin to this mix! After a few days of talking it through, I convinced Ava to wear a dress.

The girls were super excited to see Quinn and the rest of the family! And bonus with little Leilani!

Prior to gift opening, this is how the girls spent their time. Aunt Vicky brought them books to write in and that was pretty much it.  

Until gift opening. And then Quinn had a special helper. And she actually really helped! She didn't open an gifts, she oohed and ahhed, showed amazing expressions, cleaned up the wrapping paper, and brought over new gifts. It was super sweet!

PTO Carnival

Last Friday was the annual PTO carnival. It's always a great time! So many fun and exciting things! The PTO truly does an outstanding job. I wish I could have been more involved but my time is stretched pretty thin right now with soccer. I did volunteer for an hour in the craft room. Which meant I put tattoo's on the kiddo's for an hour. I am now pretty good at it!! Ha!

I let the girls pick out what they wanted to wear. I think this pretty much sums up their personalities. 

The girls played games (won a snake), played in the bouncy houses, Ava socialized with her little friends. 

And we even got to see Sawyer! Doesn't everyone look thrilled?

Great job, Genoa PTO!! You should be proud!
