#houghtalinggirls

Lots of fun times for The Houghtaling's!

Trying heatless curls (fun fact: they don't work for Addy!)

Love him!

A little side story that I didn't share with many people:

When we were at the Botanical Gardens for Homecoming photos, I found a Kate Spade purse sitting against a wall with no one in sight.

I grabbed it to turn in but couldn't find anyone!!!!
So, I took it home and looked in the wallet. Through the power of Facebook, a few phone calls to mutual friends, I was able to connect with the owner of the bag.

We met the next day so I could return the purse and she surprised me with flowers!
We, of course, are now Facebook friends!

Hang outs with friends!

Ava is taking Emerging Technologies this semester and this is her first project.
She has been some pretty amazing items!

Celebrating Kindness Day at school. I told Ava they probably asked her not to be in the photo. Haha!

Cleft Clinic took us to Columbus then to Thurman's. We had to rub it into John.

A little appreciation from my leader.

Dinner with soccer friends

My work participated in a reading challenge at a local school. We were able to choose our own book. I loved this dang book when I was a kid.

Addy had been asking to go to DQ to try a TikTok thing.
It was yummy!

Drinks with friends

Football Friday with our favorite player! He bought us all personalized earrings.

Addy and Hazel won the egg challenge!

Love this filter!

My niece. I love her so.

Most the schools have a Barstool account which isn't always the friendliest, but happens to be very funny!
Ava and Myles when they were around 4-5 made the account one week.
It was so funny and Ava was so embarrassed! Ha!

Night out with me peeps!

Addy's new chair!

Aunt Emily and her nieces.

Coffee in the car with these two is one of my most favorite things!

And dinner with these three is right up these too!

The height difference in three years is insane.

Sweet Mara

Ava drove herself to the mall and met these lovely ladies for a movie. I was a wreck!
But she did great and did wonderful!

More Ink....

Ava's first tattoo brought on an addiction to ink.

As parents who both have a few-ish tattoos, we understand.

She came to us wanting two more. But she asked if I would get a matching one with her.

It's hard to say no, because she chose pretty classy pieces. But I did tell her she is 16 and needs to slow down for a bit.

Ava's tattoos

Our matching...I love them!!!

And that's a wrap....Basketball Cheer

Basketball cheer season is officially over.

Basketball season is looong. It's also hard when you don't have a winning team. Unfortunately, our 7th and 8th grade teams aren't what we would like them to be!

But this girl still had fun and always had a smile.

Thankful for family who support our girl!

I was in charge of 3,854 team meals. I was running low on ideas so snackle boxes for the win!

This was one of my most favorite Addy moments.
I pretty much guilted Ava into going to the game to watch.
Addy came over on a break and I said "Look who came to watch you!"
Addy said "Who??"
Clearly Ava isn't high on the list.

She had a blast this season.
I see more Comet cheer uniforms in our future.

Addy's Big Night Out!

Schedules are insane and we spend about 4-5 nights a week at the school.

Addy had been begging to go ice skating and try this hot pot restaurant. She has been hanging out and playing online games with a new friend, Sammie.

We invited her along! The restaurant was interesting...but Addy loved it which is what counted.

We invited Morgan and Lisa along because Morgan ice skates and I don't.
She was my eyes on the ice...

These kids skated for TWO hours!
I didn't think they would last 30 minutes. Ha!
Fun night and Addy was so appreciative!
