June Celebrations {Birthdays, Gotcha Days, Fathers Day}

Well, hello June!! Aren't you an expensive little month?
We celebrated:
John - June 3rd
Addy - Gotcha Day June 16th
My Birthday -  June 17th
Grandma - June 22
Mom/Nana - June 24th
Oh, and Father's Day!!
Whew....

June 16th we celebrated my birthday and Addy's Gotcha Day!
John surprised me with this sign in our yard!! I was so giddy!

It's Our Day!

This one really hit me...Miss my Aunt Weezie

Drinks with Shelby!

Yummy cakes! They were so good!

It was a wonderful celebration!! Thank you to our friends and family!

On June 19th, we headed to Mancy's to celebrate Nana's 65th birthday! We were a little early so we gathered for a few photos. You know I love a good opportunity for family photos!

Back to Nana's after dinner for yummy cake that I made for Nana!

Sunday the 20th was Father's Day!!!
We grabbed Grandpa and headed to Smokey Bones for dinner.
It wasn't my favorite but it was all about the Dad's!

We followed it up with ice cream! Part of our ice cream challenge, too!
More on that later.

On June 22nd, we headed to the Speed Trap for my Grandma's 89th birthday!!!
I was so happy she was feeling so well and was able to enjoy herself and a slice of Lemon Meringue pie.
Plus, Baby Emmett was there. And gah....he's so sweet!

Happy Birthday, Grandma!

Alice

Alice left to go back to her Daddy for the duration of the summer so we sucked up some time with her prior to her leaving. Lots of swimming, snuggles and even a frog!
We can't wait until she comes back home in August.

Kick off to Summer!!

The first official weekend of summer was perfection.
Hot tubs, boats, pools, tubing, friends, cookouts, smores, sidewalk chalk, and so many smiles and laughs!

Happy Birthday John!!!

My husband is 58!!
We celebrated John's birthday on the last day of school!
He requested pot roast and a chocolate cake.
So I enlisted my sweets to help!

The #1 cigar in 2020. I won't share what they cost.

Ava Kate decorated the driveway! All on her own!!

The yummy roast and summer decorations (for the girls!)

This chocolate cake was the bomb. Now I'm making another one for my moms birthday! Haha!

Happy Birthday to the love of my life!!!

Schools Out for SUMMER!!!!!

June 3rd ended the longest school year ever.
These girls amaze me.
They navigated a pandemic, remote school, hybrid school and face masks.
And they are still smiling.
So ready to spend an amazing summer with them!!

1st Day vs. Last Day

My little Addy. Gah...She melts me.

Not only did this girl navigate all of the above but she did it in a new school and made High Honor Roll the entire year. Without any guidance from her parents. Because she's Ava and rocks everything she does.

With Addy still being in elementary, I still get a glance into their days.
They kicked off the last day with donuts from their teacher and ended it with Kona Ice!

One last shout out to Mrs. Schober.
Addy will move on to 4th grade and work with someone new and Mrs. Schober decided to stay at home next year with her babies. We adore her. We love her. We are so so grateful for her.
Addy has made tremendous strides this year because of her. I know we will stay in touch but I still shed some major tears over this one.
