Addy's Friend Birthday Party!!

Addy's 9th birthday has finally concluded. ahhh...
We had purchased all of things for her party prior to COVID.
Then we had to cancel.
But I still had the stuff so I decided to have one more party for her.
Her big sister may be a little jealous of the ongoing celebrations. Hahahaha!!
It was a very low key, watermelon themed party.
Just a hand full of sweet girls.

Lots of watermelon candy!!

Then the pinata.

Sweet Addy took a few swings and then on to Ava...

Who obliterated it and sent candy flying!
None of the other girls got a chance!
Haha!

Happy Birthday Sweet Girl! (Again)

This girl was very low key because she was up to 3am the night before.

Here is the photo of the cake that the baker shared on her page.
Her company is called Jane Dough and I highly recommend!!

Happy Birthday, Nana!!

We celebrated Nana's birthday with a "surprise" party planned by Emily!
We all had certain jobs to do.
These girlies were in charge of the sign!

Happiest of birthdays, Nana!
We love you!

Virginia Beach 2020!

Our bi-annual Houghtaling family vacation took us to Virginia Beach.
We definitely had a small crowd this year due to COVID but we still enjoyed our time.

AG helped pack the car!

We stopped at a fabulous Mexican restaurant on our in Maryland. John and I both agreed it was the best Mexican we've ever had.

The bad weather for the first half led us to reading books, games, puzzles, and a small shopping spree for warm clothes.
Our first night there we were on our own for dinner.
These 2 went to a seafood buffet...

...while this girl and I went to Panera.

There were just as many kids as adults. My girls had a blast with their cousins!
The main squad was Ava, Addy, Teagan and Marley.
Teagan and Marley belong to John's niece who lives in Florida.
The girls were the best of friends all week and have even talked a few times since we've been home.

We took advantage of the beach when we could but just enjoyed the trip with our family.

Ava Kate got some amazing shots with the GoPro.
We love the underwater shots!

Family photo night!

We also celebrated my 44th trip around the sun!
We went out for nachos and margaritas for lunch and then John's family surprised me with cake and ice cream!

So, let me tell you about my posse.
It will come as no surprise that I love kids but these girls had my heart all week.
They were never very far from me.
Hanging out. Sitting outside the bathroom waiting for me. Finding me to give them baths and do their hair.
It was so cute!!

After a week of fun, we had to head home.
ALL.THE.STARBUCKS. were closed on the way home.
So this...I doubled up.

And these girlies were thrilled with their first official Slurpees.
