Ava's Playing Volleyball!

When the form came home for volleyball, Ava wasn't too thrilled to play. 

Ava likes soccer. Ava is very good at soccer. But Ava doesn't want to do anything other than soccer. 

It took some convincing but she agreed. 

Guess what? She loves it! And she's good!

It's a short season so she is actually playing her last game this weekend. 

Lia's Wedding Weekend - Part 2

After our day of fun, we cleaned up and got ready for the wedding. 

We didn't realize the weather was going to be so much cooler so our clothing wasn't necessarily warm. Addy was so excited about her new dress! 

Thank goodness I grabbed her a jacket before we left! Ha!

The wedding and reception was absolutely perfect. Everything was so quaint. 

It was a very small wedding with little Gia as the flower girl. 

We had drinks and light snacks immediately following the ceremony. After we had dinner and then down to another building for the reception. The girls NEVER left the dance floor until we forced them to leave at 11:00.

We went back to our house and passed out. 

Everyone slept so sound until I had to force them all out of bed. 

Such a great weekend away!

Lia's Wedding Weekend - Part 1

Lia (John's sister's daughter) and her fiance, Tyler, got married! 

They have been together for quite some time so we already know and love Tyler. He has survived the Houghtaling family vacations. 

They chose Watervale Inn in Northern Michigan as their venue. 

This was basically a destination wedding for all of us. 

We were able to go off the grid, enjoy the quiet, and spend some wonderful times with family! 

We stayed in a cabin (which was a 5 bedroom house) with George and his family. 

This was the view from our front porch. 

We picked the girls up a little early from school and headed North. 

Friday night was a bon fire for all the guests! 

The girls had a blast and were absolutely filthy from playing in the sand all night!

Saturday morning we were up early! We had the day to explore until the wedding later. 

We loaded the car with cousins and set out! 

We went to the Overlook and The Lighthouse. 

We found a farmers market and had lunch at A&W! 

Such a fun day!! 

Class DoJo

Our school uses a system called Class DoJo. 

It manages the behaviors of the children, communication with teachers and a look into their daily lives at school!

She loves it so much! 

She is on the Inspire squad this year and is considered one of the big girl helpers! 

Labor Day Weekend!

We had a super fun Labor Day Weekend filled with lots of fun and swimming! 

Our friends came over. There was snacks, food, and wine for the Mama's!

What a great send off to summer!
